Title: Given electrode potentials, what reactions occur?
Post by: thegers91 on 25/04/2011 14:06:40
could someone please help with me with this?

a solution contains 0.1M of zinc nitrate and 1E-3M nickel nitrate.
Indicate with reasons the processes that would occur at an inert cathode when the potential of that electrode reaches -0.320V to -0.8V.

[Eo(Ni/Ni2+ = -0.23V), Eo(Zn/Zn2+ = -0.76V)]

Cheers  [:)]

Indicate your method of solution. It's not good rule to make homeworks for others.
