Title: Would a domed house be the most secure against earthquakes?

Dear Chris and team,

Would a beetroot or swede shaped house be the most secure against earthquakes, etc?  Can I assume a dome top would allow hurricanes to pass overhead?

If an earthquake comes along the building might rise up a bit but then settle down again with most of it's mass either already having a low centre of gravity, or being below ground.

Do deserts have earthquakes and would anyone notice? Is the movement of sand much different from the movement of water, other than being slower because of the mass of the sand particles?

Good for strength, bad for living in and a mother to build with conventional techniques.
Put in your planning application tomorrow and see how they like it!
You could name your house "fast breeder" after the Dounreay reactor.
