Mikk in Toronto asked the Naked Scientists:
Reasonable visible cut - IR pass filter is to be had from an old 3 1/2 inch floppy diskette ... the black mylar disk proper is pretty much opaque to visible wavelengths yet passes NIR nicely. FYI
