can anybody help me in making a power generator at home on small scale.

What sort of power generator? There are many different types that are commercially available, or you can buy parts through an electric/electronic supply catalog.

sorry i didnt mention it i want to make a simple small electric power generator of 3 amperes. If anyone can help me.

Buy yourself a big motor. And a horse. Set horse to run around in circles really fast around motor (attaching a rope to the rotor). Hey presto!
Else, get your self a lawnmower engine and attach the rotor to the rotor of another motor. Now just connect the circuit to the last motor and fire up the lawnmower!

3 Amps at 50,000 volts = 150Kw = just over 200 horse power which can be achived with a large diesel truck engine (since you dont want to run the engine at full power).
3 Amps at 12 volts = 36 watts (less than 1/20th horse power) which could be supplied by a hand crank, a small windmill or even solar cells. Small windmills can be easly built or purchased from a marine supplier (they use them on ocean going sail boats) as can solar power packs. A gas generator would need only a small engine (1.5 horse power or less (four stroke engines are more efficent))

If you are good at DIY, I would suggest you to use a car generator which can be found in a old car in a car junkyard. Then attach a windmill to the rotor of the generator. This will give you instance power.
If you were looking for a way to store energy, then you would require an AC/DC converter and a 12volt car battery. Again the AC/DC converter can be found in a old car.

The only problem with this (otherwise excellent) suggestion is that most car 'generators' these days are alternators and do not carry permanent magnets. They use a field coil which consumes current in order to produce the magnet field that then generates the electrical output. You need a dynamo, containing fixed magnets, in order to overcome this problem.
