IF you was to jump of a high building, would you die before you hit the ground. I am betting my cousin £10 on this so please reply [^]

Hard to say. the last few people that did this didn't live to tell about it. I guess a coroner could see if there had been a heart attack, but the process happens so quickly that there probably wouldn't be enough clues / signs for the autopsy to pronounce true cause. If I were the coroner, I'd say the cause of death would be... Splat.
I've heard that the heart fails and you die before you land. Well, it would have to be a really tall building, because a free fall happens in seconds. Heart attacks may take a few seconds longer than the time it would take to hit. That would suck. Excruciating pain of a heart attack right before you connected with concrete.
Chris may be able to give you a better answer and one that is correct. I'm just guessing.
Jump, die, hit? I think it's... Jump, "Oh Shi", Splat!
Just a thought.

It takes much longer to die from a heart failure than a few seconds, surely?
Am I dead? Am I alive? I'm both!

I jumped out of a plane at 10,000 feet. I free fell for 5,000 feet and soared for the last 5,000. I am scared of heights and flying. I lived and can't wait to do it again. I did have a very bad hair day after that though.

I've a "jump story" I'm a little reluctant to tell. But, since we're family....
My first static line jump was horrible. The harness that goes around you is very tight. The chute opened and I realized at that moment that the strap that goes between the legs had secured itself over a part of the anatomy of which most men have two. That fall lasted for hours it seemed. I was sick to my stomach for several minutes after. Just thought I'd share.
