I get great enjoyment out of channelling water from one point to another. Of course this means that the water must start at a high point and finish at a lower point, due to the effect of gravity, which determines that water will always find its own level. This can be obviated by the use of a series of pumps and pipes. But when the water is being channelled from a high point to a low point, it is simply a case of ensuring that any open channels are big enough to carry the volume of water which will be coursing through that channel. It is also essential that the means of transporting the water be adequately sealed to avoid leaks.
