Well I know we've got USA, UK, CANADA, and AUSTRILA who else is here?

Lightarrow (Alberto)and Iko (Enrico) are both Italian.
We did have a Belgian, and for a short while a couple of Finns.
Ofcourse, you may have to decide what a country is (I believe we have a Scot - but is Scotland a country [;)]). Hadrian is Irish.
Then again, are you asking about country of residence, or country of birth, or nationality (some people may hold multiple passports)? Alendrail (Monika) is resident in England, but is Swiss by birth, and Egyptian by marriage, and I have no idea which passports she carries.
We also did have a couple of Nigerians.

Stuart was living in the black forest of Germany but that was not his place of birth as I understood it.. I am not sure I remember where he was from...

Stuart, I believe, was born British.
Eric, now I recall, was the Belgian (not sure if Walloon or Flem).

I've heard of people losing their first language when they move so young. Keep it up it is good to keep your cultural roots.
My Friend is Swedish and her children have lost their swedish. When they go back to visit relatives they feel slightly detached from their heritage. My kids were born in Denmark but we weren't there long enough for them to learn Danish. I think that is quite sad too.

Cambridge is in the UK, up from London and across from Oxford.

(I don't think I'd bother mentioning Oxford when describing the location of Cambridge...) Up (north) from London, about halfway to The Wash.
I'm UK born and bred.
Currently living 15 minutes walk from Gatwick Airport!

IIRC Oxford was described as being up from Cambridge.
BTW, note to all Cantabrians, hard luck in the boat race- very unfortunate to have one of the eight fall ill just before the race.

The New Zealanders would have to be further away (if we have any), or better still, those who happen to live in the ocean off NZ's south east coast!...the furthest point on the Earth from Cambridge seems to be there, about 20,000km away on the surface. Melbourne's roughly 17,000km away, so not too bad...
(I like my kudos with froth on the side.) :P

This is completely off topic, except that it was triggered by the foregoing. I was in Oxford yesterday, showing a group of Sudanese visitors around. They were hugely disappointed there was not a single large building with a sign saying Oxford University that they could be photographed in front of. I pointed out that much of what they were seeing was the University. "Here is Trinity College, there is Ashmolean Museum, there's Magdalen, etc." What finally satisfied them was a shop with the name The Oxford University Shop in large letters on the front.
Anyway - on topic - Scottish/English hybrid, who considers himself European.

I think you should have given them a teddy bear to hold in their photos. Make sure it's got a name tag round its neck - "Mohammed"
