Title: Will modern tendency for smaller families negatively impact human gene pool?
Post by: Svadilfari on 31/07/2016 12:08:58
First of, I'm no scientist, just an enthusiastic amateur and sometimes I wonder about things...
It seems to me that couples who would consciously choose smaller families are exactly those who would have the more desirable qualities, attractive, healthy, intelligent (equates to better education, better job) etc. The female here is more likely to have a 'career', not a 'job', and less time for a large family.
So, if more desirable genes reproduce less than less desirable ones, isn't that a little weird?
