Title: earths continents verticle breaks? Why verticle
Post by: jman05 on 03/07/2005 06:55:25
When you look at a glob of the the earth you can see that all the breaks in the technocic plates and the continents resemble a verticle break towards the axis.  Why is this.  Why isnt it just random.  Is it because of centrifical force of the spinning or the magnetic field with the poles or what.

I would imagine that due to spinning, the lines of stress would form north to south.
