Hello Dr. Chris and all the Naked Science team,
Thank you for all your hard work on such a fantastic show. My young children especially delight at Kitchen Science.
In a recent show 10.12.05 you discussed a patient with ulcerative colitis who infested himself with worms.
Several years ago I heard a great show about parasites on 'Radiolab' (New York). One section discussed Jasper Lawrence, a person with lifelong allergies and asthma who deliberately infested himself with hookworms.

The hookworm section begins at approximately 31:10. The show also discusses some of the drawbacks of this unconventional treatment.
