Learn from me... (the voice of reason....HA !)
When in a hotel and about to have a shower, don't do what I did.
Turn the shower on first then go and get undressed.
Result...a lake in the bathroom !!...soaking wet towels, loo rolls, the entire bathroom soaking....eveything......[:)].
..I had turned the shower head towards the wall and the pressure must have turned it away !!...it's most embarassing at 2am to call the reception for some dry loo rolls and towels !!!
What silly things have YOU done that I can learn from ?

Heres one for you Neil. about twenty years ago, give or take, I am driving along in town,when all of a sudden, I realize, halfway through an intersection that I just ran a stop sign. So most people would just say ...it! But no, I stopped right in the middle of the intersection, said, "oh my gosh I ran a stop sign." Panicked and looking around for a cop, I shoved the old beast into reverse and backed up to the stop sign and made sure I stopped then proceded on my way. Thank goodness I was alone in the car, and I did not hit anyone. I tell you this in hopes that it can't be put off as a thing only a women would do, although I did it! After it was all said and done, I was embarrased as heck, but I have never run a stop sign again!

It is great to have you back Neil. Isn't that funny how the shower went nuts, I tell you sir you have a way with showers. The curtain won't leave you alone and now the water is following you out of the shower. I swear its your magnetic personality! I bet you were just hoping a beautiful red head would bring the sundries up to your room! How long did it take her to get it cleaned up Neil! How was the veiw? HEHEHE! Just kidding you know!...Karen

Yes, Neil. It is great to have you back...and you do seem to have a shower thing? I have plenty of silly things I have done and don't feel so bad when I see one of your classics here...One of mine is similar...I forgot to turn the showerhead away while preparing for a shower, so I turned on the water and ended up very soaked as well as shocked.

and in answer to your question - yes I was really tired, and the wet flannies did not imrpove the situation one bit!

Probably running into a tree was mine. I was at a mates house, been there several times before and knew the tree had a low branch. Well there were some kids messing about in the school on the otherside to my friends garden so we went to chase them off. I forgot about the branch and after running straight into it layed on the floor a little dazed and confused as to what happened. My friends found the whole thing funny of course.

I did a similar thing running into a tree that I knew was there and then fell over into a patch of stinging nettles. Ouch.It hurt a lot !
My head is not what it used to be.

I stood on 2 nails in the same day.
I know someone who got stung in the ass by a wasp. Ouch.

We have an overhang post just inside our school gate! I will come in that gate and get mobed by 20 or thirty kids wanting hugs at the same time, so must drop down and hug one and all, which is so nice, but every time I stand back up to turn around to go inside, I walk right square into that post! It has been the cause of numerous bumps omn my forehead! Now wouldn't you thinik that something that causes such grief and pain, might make you remember the post every day!!! Ahh but no!!! I must hit it like clock work!! Geesh!

Does it count that I fell before reaching stairs yesterday and slid down them ??? I have a huge bruise on the front of my leg and it is very swollen...no reason, but my big feet???

My husband did that one night at someone elses house. He hit it so hard he fell back on the ground. I laughed my a** off. No wait, it's still there.[:D]

Ouch indeed. When you know the blasted thing is there but still run into it, then it's quite embarrassing.
But to go with you stinging nettle patch, my cousin, for his birthday decided he wanted to try scrambling (motor bike) and a small group of us went along. Great day, then he sped up to overtake on a corner, hit the embankment which he then flew over into a field of stinging nettles. I almost wet myself from laughing when I saw him [}:)]

I know Ray, I have a 12 inch bruise in length and at least 6 inches in diameter and it is really hurting the last two days..but you are right...it happens all the time to me...I almost tripped down the spiral staircase when we were going before the bride...aagghh! I would've been so embarrased...but luckily I had a good foothold and grabbed the staircase...I did not lose my calle lily.
Got married? I think that could be an accident in some cases Helena...yikes...don't go to vegas!
