Has anyone succeeded in loading this from file sharing sources ?, to get it loaded is no great problem but I can find no way to get it activated.

Are you talking about the Wolfram Mathematica program?  If you've got a legitimate copy of this then you should try their technical support, but I don't think anyone's going to help you try to get a cracked copy running.

Whether one uses file sharing (pirated) copies of software is of course moral and legal problem, of course if you are a commercial user it is a serious offence to use software that you have not purchased but I do not see that the amateur user who wants say a copy of PhotoShop to experiment retouching one or two pictures is committing any great offence.
Microsoft have encouraged the downloading of Windows 7 to publicity and feedback.

It's not for you to decide the terms by which other people make their property available to you.

So what that Microsoft have encouraged the downloading of the Windows 7 beta, both in order to de-bug it and to try to lure back customers after Vista?  Are you really saying that when Microsoft, being a convicted monopolist, decides to do something, everyone else should be obliged to do the same?
