Title: Do you have some good ideas for recycling old prescription bottles?
Post by: Karen W. on 11/01/2008 19:35:35: I know.. for beads snall tacts, nails, pins, Fortune cookie fortunes... Any other suggestions???
I found I can peel off my labels easily then basically have a nice empty bottle with a rather secure lid!

Give me some ideas will ya??

Post by: Karen W. on 11/01/2008 19:43:04: Thats a nice idea. I have put aside a bloody ton for preschool for beads etc. They won't allow the children to play with them as they learn how to open the childproof bottles and thats a NO NO! Could get them seriously hurt!
My kids played with them though and sometimes I put rice or beans in them as rattle toys.. shakers! I at one point put them in a stuffed animal to make them easily make noise for a baby.. different items inside make a different sound and they are stitched inside and padded so no harm unless the toy is ripped open and then they are still sealed inside the capped bottle!

Miniature bowling.. with maybe one of those little bouncy balls or a big shooter marble? Good ideas Neil..
What are Cress? Like water cress??

Post by: that mad man on 13/01/2008 15:21:35: Some pharmacies in the UK take back empty medicine bottles and re-use them.

Not sure how widespread that is though.
