Lemons for birth control, AIDS protection
Lemon juice may be helpful as a contraceptive and also a killer of the AIDS virus, according to Australian researchers. According to Roger Short, a reproductive physiologist at the University of Melbourne, laboratory tests found that lemon juice kills both sperm and the AIDS virus itself. “We can show in the lab that lemon juice is very effective in immobilizing human sperm and also very effective in killing HIV,” Short told Australian Broadcasting Corp television on a show that aired on October 10, 2002.

My own experience using Lemon Juice:
Lemon juice
This amazing gift from a tree has unbelievable properties. It kills the bacterium that causes puss in wounds instantly and without any serious side effects. Great for putting on spots and sores, it is a powerful instant antibacterial. We have used this for many years to treat occasional spots when used neat and directly from a fresh lemon. Lucy, one of our Bull terriers developed a very bad vulva infection, which was oozing puss. Lucy had two lots of antibiotics from the vet, which did not cure her! I used a large syringe with a long soft rubber applicator, (the type used in artificial insemination and force feeding farmyard young animals). I used half a freshly squeezed lemon and the next day the infection was gone. One more injection and the problem completely resolved itself. I have since treated every single vulva infection in my bull terriers successfully using lemon juice, including a severe infection in a bitch that had been mated to an infected dog two weeks ago with zero side effects. Again treated twice, the infection disappeared as quick as it emerged! We looked after our friend’s three bullies for four days. Lewis had a bad eye infection with puss in both eyes. I bathed his eyes with 1 part lemon juice and 10 parts water. The next day his eyes were clear with no puss evident. To make sure the strength was ok, I tested it in my own eyes, it did sting a little but had no lasting discomfort. The next day both of his eyes were clear. One more application of this magic formula from nature and his infection was completely resolved. I have also used lemon juice to clean wounds on myself. Rubbing lemon juice all over bully’s coat and legs before you go for country walks also discourages flees and ticks.

Oranges and Lemons say the bells of Saint Clements
Now I wander why they would put this in a rhyme. maybe they wanted us to remember how they used them for improving their health perhaps? And what about Limes, the juice of which can kill the bacterium inside an infected gum, even when an abscess has formed! I know, I have tested it on myself and recently my wife has used it with 100% effect.
There is still much debate as to the origin of Oranges and Lemons, nursery rhyme, for example, it is attached to The London Bells Rhyme as the origin. But I feel it’s origin goes back to the very first explorers and it’s use to combat illnesses onboard ships. But even the history of Sailors using these fruits does not go back to the original use of these fruits, in their countries of origin, and I feel they have been wrongly attributed to Sailors and the Physicians that prescribed them.
Funny how things go full circle, only to again prove their worth when today’s medicine appears to be failing.
Maybe, the people in Africa could plant these fruit trees around every village in order to bolster their ailing health and create an effective barrier against the onset of desertification at the same time, not to mention providing them with fuel and fodder.
