Title: What is the current status of Africanized Bees?

There seems to be a lot of discussion about pesticide use and colony collapse disorder.  So, it seems as if Africanized Bees (killer bees) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Africanized_bee) have fallen out of discussion lately. 

If they compete best in tropical regions, then what will be the effect of global warming?
