I'd only take you to a dinner if I gets to go back to your house and play all your music stuff. LoL. And Doc..what do you do to make the strings rust not as fast?
-
Rusting strings on a Guitar? Wow.. Is it really humid where you are? Do you have a nice dry place to store it so it gets air circulation?
-
yeah i was told its because you play it to much..lol but there must be a way to slow down the process. its downstairs
-
Downstairs I think of moist basements with little air circulation I would start with storing up where it is warmer and the temps are more controlled .. Fine instuments like violins guitars and such are defineitely affected by temperature etc! warmer dry air with less fluctuation is good!
-
I make killer chicken enchiladas! LOL!

Rumour Has It that JFK kept a Dragonfly in a Tin Cup
-
Yes it is just a big conspiracy what is the point in chasing dreams? If it were a perfect world, but it isn't, it would be open range and revenge would be sweet! Since all we have is the postman, there is no way out for us!
-
Well, not for 13 Days anyway; until Bull Durham becomes Untouchable.
-
Well Mr brooks already knows the situation and it just seems that shadows run black, its like playing truth or dare.. you never know what or how you are going to feel, or weather it is all just a big conspiracy!
-
Rumour Has It that JFK kept a Dragonfly in a Tin Cup
Its kinda like having a guardian don't you think? I am sure his presence made the dragonfly feel safe! Thats what I was talking about earlier and broken promises.. sometimes mere presence makes one feel safe! we shouldn't feel the need to hide away as if being chased by a gunrunner. The whole situation is a testament to the fact that there is no way out for us!
-
OK, let's do the Fandango on The Night Shift and see if the Prince Of Thieves is really called Frances.
-
You know me well, and know I am great at the night shift! 13 days feels like forever without a bodyguard.. some one to keep me company all for the love of the game.
-

-
The first thing My Granny showed me. told me it was not good for the sound quality! LOL
-
Your Granny? LoL. Yes its defiently quility
-
Yes, she bought the guitar for me when I was fourteen. I loved guitar music. She loved music as did my other Grandma. My Grandpa fiddled my gran played the harmonica until she was almost 110. She worked in a home for mentally challenged children who had grownup in a home for children who had out lived caregivers or caregivers were unable to take care of them. She took care of one group of children for 37 years when others would not. she had a heart attack at 101 which made her unable to care for them any longer, but she still traveled to them everyday to play her harmonica for them until the day she died just shy of 110 years old!on the front porch and in the music hall in the winter! She was terrific!
-
My Grandpa fiddled my gran
But it's 3,000 Miles To Graceland! [:o]

Karen you should write a book about your family, sounds like living on golden pond to me. Love your gran, Both my granny's were lovely warm people. Whe our feet were freezing cold in the winter, Granny Fletcher, bless her used to get hot gleeds from the fire and toss them around in our welly's and make us a ginormous piece of rough cut toast with strawberry jam on it. I loved her very dearly. My other Granny Mum's mum was an angel, never had a bad word to say about anyone, kept everyone together and made the most amazing steak and kidney pie with an upturned pepper pot in the middle to keep the pastry out of the gravy while it cooked to perfection Hmmmmm Hmmm She also cooked faggots and mushy peas, grew prize carnations and loads of veg, while grandad kept pidgeons, bull terriers and chickens up the garden just to entertain his grandkids I believe Gran also made the most amazing elderflower champagne and snowballs made from advacat lemonade and a dash of lime for a twist and we drank both at a very early age. My how I miss these lovely people

Well there is a lot of love in my genes but also a lot of sadness.
The gran who gave me my guitar was my local Gran. The one who worked with the children and loved to play the Harmonica was my Great Gran on my moms dads side. So my grandpas mom, who lived in Idaho and Oregon! Her and my Grandpa Morgan were one of the 12 families that Brigham Young sent from back east to settle provo Utah! I have a huge Mormon background and My Great Grandfather served on the Quoram of twelve In the church of Jesus Christ of latter day Saints. I did not ever get to pesonally meet them as there son, my my grandpa died when I was 1. He killed himself after my mom lost two of my siblings to crib death and my father had been killed in a drunk driving accident. My grandfather traveled from Oregon to here to offer support to me mom and and Grandma and come pay respect at the funeral, but he left with my Aunt to go home and on his way home he killed himself. He was not able to deal with life events well and he was depressed. My Aunt said it broke his heart to leave me Grandma a second time and loose his grandchildren and daughter again. He was what they call these days Bipolar. He was and amazing man and I learned tons about him from me mom who loved him dearly! She said he was a terrific father and That was even in the face of being split from them because of divorce.. my grandma took me mom and my grandpa took me Aunt and they raised them apart because my Grandma could not deal with the depression. Me mom never said much more. I know me grandma loved him cause she spoke of him always in the kindest loving way and missed him with her whole being. She kept all of their letters from when they fell in love. Every thing he ever said to her and ever gave to her. They were married after much correspondence, They were wonderful together me mom said. never a cross word, I believe from the little I heard That she could not deal with his depressions it depressed her and she couldn't handle it. It hurt her to see him so sad..and broke her heart when he left... He was the love of her life her soul mate. she loved him until the day he died and he also loved her. Never ever stopped. Not for a minute.
I grew up with both of them, but me grandpa only lived in my heart as I was too young to remember him other then through me mom and Aunt and Grandma! Wow way off topic!

Seen my fare share of friends and family passing away. My cousin died from the cold in her own home in the midlands. Sue dedicated her whole short life to looking after Richard, her brother who had cerebral palsy. Richard, her mum and dad all passed away leaving only her sister.

Yeah A book.LOL Your funny! I don't have time for writing a book! LOL Between everything else,, seems I do lots of dosing off. Haven't slept good for years and years now with all the meds I dose off in the middle of posts etc.
It sounds like your cousin was a wonderful women. I am sorry her life was cut so short! So many peoples are. My father sister brother five cousins my friend grand parents..Your family sounds amazing I should share my grandmas Blackberry wine recipe with you. She has two versions! Or her killer Homemade noodles OH MY Gawwwwwd I miss them. When I die I hope that is what I smell cooking in my memory bank! LOL! LOL! so silly but they were full of wonderful memories. LOL
Its funny you get my age and you start looking around you and you don't have anyone left in your family. I do , I have my three sisters living and one brother left I think... I hope.. I don't really know anymore about my brother. See one sister once in a blue moon she is a stung out on drugs living in the streets. I don't know how she survives and it breajs my heart that she is out there , but there is nothing I can do. Same for my brother. My other two sisters bounce from good to bad as far as their lives and drugs. It scares me to death, I hate drugs even medications,, LOL And I am on them because I have no choice other tothen just quiting them and giving up all together. So I choose to live with them, in hopes there will be more future. We should make a new topic and keep this one on track! LOL
Sorry Doc!
