Title: can single cell organisms show habituary behaviour

i was woundering if anyone knew if single cell organisms have the capacity to remember stimuli that are not harmfull for a short period of time to save energy (habituary behaviour). If not, what is the smallest animal to show this behaviour. thanks.

I do not believe that singel celled organism have any kind of brain at all. You'd need another cell for that wouldnt you? yeah, a brain cell.
