can anyone tell me what is the harmful effect of masturbation and does it has the same effect as of having sex.

I believe Chris can give you a concise answer to this. Current belief is however that masturbation causes no damage whatsoever (Contrary to the old wives tale concerning blindness).

I would think nothing. People are living longer now so there can't be much of a deletorious effect. For the guys, guess it's good to clean out that prostate every so often. I remember reading somewhere that there's a part of the brain, that if you have a stroke in that part, it causes you to excessively masturbate. I thought at the time that I'll bet mainly men stroke in that area. Then too, it didn't say whether or not the excessive masturbation caused the stroke in the first place.

i have been excessively masturbating since 12 and now im 17
over the past couple of years i have felt weak and felt somewhat irritable,my hands shake and i feel sleepy a lot
could this be the effect of masturbation,sometimes i masturbate (with soap or rubbing on the bed) up to two times a day and always ejaculate.....do i need to stop?

Dear Ritual (smirk)...you are indeed a ****er !!...no do not stop, instead continue, or perhaps get yourself a girlfriend (if you haven't got one already)....I am a tad concerned at the lateness of your inroduction into the noble art of masturbatory gymnastics and susepct that the more you practice, the easier it will beCUM, in time you will develop biceps in one arm that Popeye would be envious of and therefore the tiredness and weakness will subside. Try using the other arm for equilibrium too.

ritual, I don't think those symptoms are due to masturbation. They may be something else that needs to be checked though. Chris can address this better.

I assumed ritual was a 'bloke' also, but decided that without more evidence, it wouldn't be politically correct to run on that assumption. I don't know about the playing a joke part. I'd hate to mess up a 17 YO by teasing too much, as that is a fairly tender age for many. I didn't know I would start this much of a storm with my comment.
