Ian Fleming Betrayed

The great British author Ian Fleming (1908 - 1964) would be very disappointed with most James Bond films,
Quantum of Solace
, particularly. Fleming only lived to see the first three bond films (
Dr. No
,
From Russia With Love
and
Goldfinger
). Fleming had the belief that we (The West: England, United States, NATO, ect.) were the good guys, and the bad guys were the East: Soviet Russia, Red China, ect.) Paul Haggis, who wrote the script for
Quantum of Solace
(the most recent James Bond film), represents much of what Fleming was against: socialism, cultural relativism and vilifying many aspect of the MI6 and the CIA.
Fleming's popularity grew tremendously in 1960 when JFK mentioned him as his favorite fiction author. Fleming responded to that by meeting JFK with on a few occasions and giving him foreign policy tips, such as that towards Red Cuba.

What comes to mind is what
MDriver1981
is doing posting this stuff on a science forum. This is merely a reactionary political point of view. If it is intended to promote debate it's difficult to see where it could go.

No direct question, just people's thoughts. History is social science, thank you very much.

Fleming was a fascinating man.
Yes and James Bond was actually taken from a Jamaican ornothologist.
Fleming also wrote children's stories.

Rosalind Franklin was my first cousin and one my life's main regrets is that I never met this brilliant and beautiful lady.
She discovered the Single DNA Helix in 1953, then it was taken by Wilkins without her knowledge or agreeement.
