Is it just the UK or is the TNS clock incorrect the world over ?
-
it's the whole world
-
No, I believe it is approximately correct in western mainland Europe (maybe not in Portugal, but in France, Germany, Benelux, Italy, etc.).
-

I think they want to see themselves as supernational, and so stick to UTC whatever the local time may be.
More lilely, Dave has not worked out how to determine the local time zone for the PC calling the TNS page up, so does not know how many hours to add or subtract from UTC for each PC.

It's not wrong! It's bang on!
And Kadie, whenever you say "it's the whole world", surely there's supposed to be a megalamaniacal laugh after accompanied perhaps by lightning?

It won't be right, cos the computer clock'll go back an hour as well as your own clocks....it'll still be right for me though!!!!!
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!
Yes, really itchy...
-
hang On !!...I'm assuming the TNS clock is static !!...so......although we go back an hour...the TNS clock (already being an hour fast)...will then become two hours fast !!
-
If the TNS clock is static, then yes, I think so too!

No,.... because it will also go back and hour still remaining 1 hour fast! Well wait..
What do you mean by Static?
-
If the TNS clock doesn't change back an hour when we all change for Autumn/Fall/antispring.
-
I see, so if it doesn't reset itself then indeed it will be two hours ahead!
-
When do clocks go back anyway ?..is it October ?
-
Is it the 21st..?? I think so! I am not positive though!
-
In 2007: Sunday 28 October
At 1 am (01:00) GMT on the last Sunday in October, clocks move back by one hour to end the period of British Summer Time.
-

This gives Dave ample time to ' sort it out good and proper '

Yep Thats what I understand!
-
I think the word autumn is much pretty for that time of year..
-
i'm wondering if it didn't happen because we moved the clocks forward earlier this year. most computer/automatic clock changing devices over here didn't do it until the old clock moving time, so i had to manually reset my alarm clock and phone and then a few weeks later i was an hour early for everything and realized that they had also set themselves forward when they thought they should have
