If rain (water) landing on you does not hurt. They why when i jump in to (water) a swimming pool, does it hurt?
-
I suppose that it is - at least partly - because you are much heavier than a drop of water. I an equal mass of water would fall on you, with a similar contact zone to spread the impact, it would probably hurt just as much.

I'd say that's it.
AND
If you were moving 35 mph or probably even 10 (which might be your falling speed from jumping into the pool) that one little drop of rain will hurt. Trust me on that one.
AND
(I know I'm some little kid from a hick town without much hick to it anymore LoL), but the only reason it hurts when you jump into the pool is your dive is not as streamlined. Am I right?
