This is not to hurt any sentiments to the belief which you all follow just question about since all the religions of this modern world has begun from almost past 1000 years ago then which religion gave most information of scientific ideas can you all suggest like geocentric theory and heliocentric theory etc.........

I think Islam has been the greatest in scientific advance. Being an atheist, I have no bias.

How can I be Christian if I am an atheist???? Dipstick!
I find your post offensive and typical of religious fanatical bigots.

How do you know that Don is white? If you are insinuating that Don's statement about Islam having the greatest scientific advances is a guilt response to recent activities, then you are being idiotic and rude. Don't be so presumptive.

Don_1 is white? WOW! [:o][:o]

Not necessarily. I myself am a very nice tan brown, but only in the bits that show!

Tch tch tch, No, look down, can't you see, I'm GREEN!

Don was probably born a Christian.

More to the point, what on earth has being white (or not) got to do with it?? Do you have to be white to be Christian? Or only to feel Christian guilt?

I don't know , maybe not. I just think what Don_1 said was a bit ridiculous.

Actually, none of us are born with a religious bias of any kind. When we exit the womb, we have no concept of religion, we only have our natural born instincts MDilbert1981..................Ethos

You would be a good judge of the ridiculous wouldn't you!!

In fairness all he did was answer the question. No explanation, so whatever you think about his answer is a result of your own bias and assumptions. I would have liked a further explanation from Don too but that doesn't mean that we should put words into his post.

MDriver1981 didn't start this thread. It was Nobel Prize 4 Me

So it was.... silly me.... I take that back.... there, deleted, thanks for pointing out my error C4M

MDriver1981 You do not know the colour of my skin, what is more, it is irrelevant. As Ethos stated 'none of us are born with a religious bias', in my case I was not brought up with any such bias either, since my parents were not the religious types.
I will qualify my original statement. I do not claim that Muslims have made any more or less contribution to science, pro rata, than any other religious group, however, it is my understanding that ancient Islamic leaders encouraged the advance of science, while I only see other religions, on occasions, suppressing science. There is nothing ridiculous about this.

MDriver1981 - that's not appropriate behaviour for this forum.

If we were to ignore MDriver1981 we could get back to the original question.
For what it's worth, my opinion is that the Islamic peoples produced some astounding science early on; then they seem to have stopped.
Since then they have been overtaken by the Judeo Christian group (its' often difficult to tell them apart).
So, recently, I think the Christians probaly win on sheer weight of numbers. However all of this presuposes that we had the precursors of science that were sorted out at least as long ago as the Egyptians.
Part of the problem is to define what you mean by science.

What a marvelous vocabulary,.............?????
