Title: computers based on molecules
Post by: Hadrian on 12/07/2006 19:08:30
Researchers at the University of Liverpool was working on creating future computers based on molecules.

They said future electronics could be based on molecules and for that it was important to understand how to work with electronic material produced on an increasingly small scale.

So far, they have succeeded in imaging and forming a unique bond between a single gold atom and a single organic molecule known as pentacene. They said they managed to bind the atom to the pentacene and take images of rearrangements of the electrons participating in the formation of the chemical bond.

What you do speaks so loudly that I cannot hear what you say.
