Title: How can people with detatched retinas restore their vision?
Post by: thedoc on 13/06/2014 00:30:01
Clint Nicholas asked the Naked Scientists:

A while ago I listened to Radio 702 and you mentioned that research is underway to restore or to help people who lost their vision due to the detached Retina. My aunt is a diabetic for more than 20 years and lost her vision about two and a half years ago.

She recently turned 50 and has seen an eye specialist who told her that there is not much that can be done for her.

Can you please assist with any information regarding the research that has so far been done or can you refer us to someone who can assist.

I will really appreciate any assistance.

Many thanks

Clint
