Tomorrow, I have yet another sleep study !
I have to be at the hospital at 9pm and they expect me to be asleep by midnight in the hope that they can monitor my sleep for six hours !!!
In previous sleep studies (at different hospitals) they have allowed me to take sleeping tablets !
..but these people won't this time....
...They don't seem to credit me with my 36 years experience of chronic insomnia that I know what I am talking about that I will not sleep !...my pattern nowadays is that I do not sleep until about 9am !!!....
I am going..and will spend the night hooked up to monitors and stuff !... and yet the premise of the study is to investigate my sleeping pattern !!...do you not see a contradiction here ?
..so...you won't see much of me for the next 48 hours or so !!
Then next Wednesday I have my nasendoscopy which I had to cancel cos I had a cold last time...it's at the same hospital !!...ewe think they could kill two birds with one stone...!!..oh no !!...that would be asking too much !!

We will miss you sorely, but wish you luck as you will need it ! You are not going to sleep for them EH?? Lol LOL! Well Doctors are like that they have to see for themselves that you are not looney!! LOL Well They will just have to take your word for it next time!! At least they are not knocking you out til next week. Although I see you might have preferred to have gotten it all over at one time rather then drawing it out! Maybe it will be a good break for you!! Relax and enjoy all the nursie probing and maybe if your really a good little sheepy and nice nusie might sing you to sleep or give you a nice relaxing massage!!!!!!!LOL LOL Close those peppers and dream.......!!!!LOL Don't worry Sheepy, Sending lots of Good thoughts your way!!

me is just going to stay up all night tonight..hopefully this will help me get some zzzzzs and some stupid early hour hooked up to a zillion monitors !!......thing is..I had a bad night last night !!...Oh well..I am just concerned about traveling on public transport in the middle of London on a Thursday night comatose !!..I might have to wear a sign saying ' if found please deliver to Hospital etc etc etc '

Sorry you are having to stay up so late and wish I had not missed it! Make sure you grab that chart they hang at the bottom of your bed, and write on there in sloppy writing sponge bath three times during night to help with sleep!!LOL!! Only to be administered by sexy red headed female Nursie with nice warm hands!!

We have one of those light filament trees that sparkle nice and pretty.

No I have a fake tree, your standard green variety, I hate cutting the trees down although we usually put the fake one up oct 31 and the real one up at thanksgiving, this year I haven't felt up to it! Things are weird! I am just getting ready to get to shopping! I do love christmas. Well I know you did not want to sleep, but I am glad you at least had 30 minutes.. I can't sleep! Monofilliment are great trees. Thats the fiboptic right? I have an antique six foot aluminum tree which sparkles like crazy. I have a color wheel light that sits on the floor and a star for the top which has a rotating colored cylinder in it which is turned by the heat of a small christmas light bulb! so the plastic cover on the star has square crystal like cover to inclose heat and reflect multi colored light all about the roof in a star formation.. Its really pretty. I have not taken it out yet this year!

Oh well !!
I found out they attach sensors to my chest (they'll have to shave me) abdomen (ooooh)...head, body and legs.
They'll be a probe (easy now !) attached to my finger all night to measure my oxygen level !!
Well, there's a science question right there...how do they measure oxygen level via my finger ?
Anyway.....I am going to sign off now and will let you know how I get on and whom I get up !!!...YAYYYYYYYY !!

Well, ..me arrived at the hospital at 20:15.
They said me was too early so I popped out for a bit to eat !!..I had a foot long sub from subway !!..LOL
Ok...popped back to hospital and went through all the rigmarole of being weighed, filling in forms answering questions etc.
took them half an hour to put all the stuff on me !!...Honestly...if you're into Star Trek The Next Generation then you'll understand what I mean when I say that I ended up looking like a Borg !!.....
..I sneakingly brought my sleepy tabs with me and after chatting with them they said it was oK !!...YAYYYYYYYY !!
Took my tabs and went to bed about midnight....fell asleep about 1:30 and woke up at ten minute intervals...then finally managed a whole hour. at 3am I was awake until 4:30am...it was sooooooooo hot...I just slept on top of the bed and had to sleep on my back only...anyway/...at 6:30am this morning they woke me up , me had a shower. had a breaky and they took some bloods and I was outta there by 8ish !...
I think they got some good data !!...me now goes back there next week for this nasendoscopy !!..oh joy !!
*le sigh*...my fears were founded !!..Les Nuresies were *polite mode * Not my cup of tea !!..nice to chat with !!.....even self-raising flour would have some issues here !!!...
LOL....suffice it to say I am knackered once more ...!!..fingers crossed for a revelation !!

I think the nurses at the hospital I go to aren't that bad at all. Sometimes I feel like doing my knee in just to see them again. Although I think they might catch on after another 5 times or so [;)]

Nope, I'm like that though, I always leave Christmas shopping right near the end. Luckily I think I have some good ideas for some of my family.......oh and I do have one present already actually. My Parents picked up Cars on dvd for me to give to Ryan my little nephew [:D]

I loved that movie!! It was a great movie even for adults....LOL It was quite funny and the cars and characters were great!

I haven't actually seen it yet. I'm so tempted to take the plastic wrapping off so that it doesn't harm my nephew, and a friend suggested that I watch it just in case they copied a naughty movie on the wrong dvd..........all this so that I know that it's safe to give to him mind you [;)]

Yes they are . Pixar does some great charaters as far as bringing them to life and giving them a living shell! Very cool!
