Mike asked the Naked Scientists:
How do I get my blood pressure down from 150/97 over night to 139/89
What do you think?

In general a few days of high blood pressure won't cause harm, but having high blood pressure all the time, year after year puts you at significant risk of complications.
Your physician has a number of medications that should help.
I'm not sure about dosing schedules. It might make sense that some medications that would be associated with fatigue would be dosed at night before bed, to get the pressure lower while one is sleeping.

It may be lower if you measure it yourself at home ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_coat_hypertension
