Ian asked another question today that, again, I didn't know. We only tell truths in my home and I didn't want to "wing it". So, again, I told him we'd turn to you.
"Where does snot come from, and why do we have it?" [?]
I have some vague ideas on his questions, but don't want to steer him wrong. He'll be back with me next monday and we'll read the results together.
Thanks
Ronnie

It snot a question you want to blow off is it?[:o)]
I think it's white blood cells that have died fighting infection or have been used to lubricate mucous membranes.

It SNOT a question to BLOW off. Ian NOSE when I'm avoiding his questions. I know it's a STICKY subject, but I can't be PICKY when answering him.
I thought dead WBCs were puss. Lubrication sounds good. Maybe a protective film as in the stomach lining?

To catch bits of stuff that would otherwise enter the nasal cavity and damage the lining. (I think)
Am I dead? Am I alive? I'm both!

It's secreted by the mucous membranes and acts as one of our initial immune responses.

Good info. Thanks. Ian was intrigued today when we talked about it. And, I heard last night on the radio show replay why it's green at times. Good stuff.

Chris,
It was great. You sounded good. I like the format. I realized that I would've gotten the "gong" on a few of those questions and would've never been in the running to go to the park there. I actualy learned quite a bit in that one hour. I'm going to be a regular. Well done!

snot comes from the air i think. well when we breath nasal openings filters the air from dust and dirts then these dust and durt particles turns to form snot.
sorry if my answer was wrong.[;)]
but sure it is not white blood cells or cancer cells.
