The past coupe of days (starting Monday) I started a Xanax (Alprazolam) binge that lasted until night. That was 90 pills each consisting of .5 MG. I was astounded to find out that today is Thursday (11.18.2010, 1:42 AM). What causes this? Does recreational drug use speed up time? (I of course do not mean this literally, but....) does it? I went on a Xanax binge to simply take my mind off of something that I felt really bad about. Maybe I'll save the details for another post.

Alprazolam (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alprazolam) causes sedation and poor memory, which could explain why you have lost a few days: e.g. you can't remember the period when you were binging and/or were excessively unconscious during that period, making it appear to you that time has jumped forward a few days.
BTW suddenly stopping benzodiazepine medication can cause a backlash : whatever symptom you have been prescribed them for could get worse following the “binge”. You should take medication as your doctor has prescribed.
benzodiazepines can give rise to many unwanted effects, including poor memory and cognition, emotional blunting, depression, increasing anxiety, physical symptoms and dependence. All benzodiazepines can produce these effects whether taken as sleeping pills or anti-anxiety drugs.
... There is absolutely no doubt that anyone withdrawing from long-term benzodiazepines must reduce the dosage slowly. Abrupt or over-rapid withdrawal, especially from high dosage, can give rise to severe symptoms (convulsions, psychotic reactions, acute anxiety states)

Yes your posts may be due to your naturally “odd” personality, but benzodiazepines or their withdrawal can also produce the same types of thoughts.
