Title: What is the chemical formula for an amino acid?
Post by: Squeak on 22/03/2009 15:07:56
Hey, sorry, for one of my bits of coursework I have been instructed to "Give the structures of twelve amino acids".

What would you interpret at the "structure", because personally I'd draw it, but It's got to be a printed text document.

How would you report an amino acid structure?

Well, I guess you could do this sort of thing.
Valine
HO2CCH(NH2)CH(CH3)2
Though that doesn't specify the R or S form.
