Title: People that interfere with electronics etc

My mates new girlfriend cant wear a digital watch because it just stops, and i have heard of people who cause interference on tvs etc when they walk too close to them. Would anyone be able to tell me what causes this?

I don't really know but I would guess static electricity.  Some people are more like to build up charge because of the condition of their skin or the clothing they habitually wear.
