Have you never been up a mountain in the early hours of the morning, as you first see the mist form in the valleys below, and gradually rise as the morning begins to warm?

Nice pics.. I live in a fog belt! humboldt county for years was known for fog.. they used to say when I was a wee girl that it was the second foggiest place in the world.. I want to say london or somewhere in england was on the list above us . The weather has changed drasticly here over 46 years and we have less fog, but it can get really bad to the point of zero visibility coming down on the mountain side some nights can be wickedly dangerous, as you must open your car door and drive 5 miles an hour to see where the center line is on the road! Coming off the mountain you better stay on the road or you could easily find yourself off the edge and into the canyon or the river, and rocks! but you would free fall for about 800 to 1500 ft down before getting there!
wow that's funny. i always heard that london was super foggy all the time too. that's the only reason i didn't want to go there.... i'm gonna need a passport
