Title: What are other good science podcasts?
Post by: lukasmaier on 13/01/2013 08:59:35
Hi,

what are your favourite science podcasts in addition to the
Naked Scientists? I currently listen to:

* http://omegataupodcast.net - long and detailed interviews
* http://www.twis.org/ - Science news
* http://www.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/series/timc - Science and comedy mixed.

Do you know of other good podcasts? I particularly like long-form
interviews with experts as in omega tau.

Looking forward to your replies :-)

Lukas

He normally explains science to people with little knowledge of science, but he is SO friendly, charming, good humoured, completely lacking the patronising gene,  but KARL KRUSZELNICKI, who pops up on Oz radio/tv shows, is lovely.  best google, to find him...

He has degrees in maths, biomedical engineering, medicine, surgery, worked as a mechanic whilst studying, so can fix at least older cars, and sews/makes his own outrageously patterned shirts.  PLUS MUCH MORE...

Hopefully I won't get shot for suggesting that you could try NPR Science Friday (http://www.sciencefriday.com/about/how-to-listen.html)

Oops, did Evan just beat me?

Obviously you will also find many "science" YouTube videos.  Some are good, some aren't so much.

I like Radiolab. Interesting variety.
