Tell me about someone who made a serious impact in your life for the better! Elaborate Please! EXAMPLE< TEACHER, FRIEND, GRANDPARENT ETC..

There are quite a few people who have made a huge impact on my life. My gran being one of them. She was a lovely woman who I miss dearly, she was like a second mother to me, always there if I was hurt or in trouble. I lost her when I was quite young so her death hit me very hard. But my memories of her keep me happy and makes me live my life the best I can, she is still with me.
But you lot have also made an impact on me, you are all gorgeous, you know who you are [:X]

DAniel It would be My Grandmother also, and my mom, Always telling me That I was a lucky Girl to be given such a new start at life 4 times.. Told me not to ever deny what was in my heart and always stay true to it! She was very special to me and I am much like her and she has left me with many gifts .. I loved her and the love in my heart is boundless because of her.. she taught me to love everyone and never just look at a surface but to look deeper because every soul is worthwhile and needs love and understanding..

My Father who taught me so much about principals in life...doing the right thing no matter what as you win knowing you did the right thing even when you have to make a stand doing the right thing, which would get me in trouble at school sometimes verbalizing things I should've kept to myself. He raised me with my Grandmother and taught me how to invent things...hehe Some things were good and some were not...? Watching him create equipment was amazing! If he couldn't figure out to make equipment, he would find it and duplicate it at home. I wish I was as smart as he was... Yikes! He taught me to use my head and don't allow others to think for me to make decisions...

He taught me many things and he will always be in my heart along with my Grandmother! She raised me until I was 7yrs old.

Sir what was the age difference between the two of you... if you don't mind me asking.. as my sister was that way with me but there was 5 years difference for us! Man for about 5 years after she moved, I was always flinching when she walked past me expecting to get slugged hit or pinched...LOL !! So glad we grew up![;)][:D]

Loretta that is cool that your Grandma raised you for a while I hope things were good with your mom also... Things tend to happen when people are young!! My grandma raised my mom untill she was 16 then disappeared and let her alone to run a resturant by herself and did not come back until she was 18 . Expected my mom to be welcoming according to my mom.. Turns out that my Grans New Hubby had hurt my mom and it killed my Gran and she left with him to try to get him away from her... so in the end things were good she was very sad to have missed that part of my Moms life and they made up and loved each other very much we spent alot of time with my Gran as There were 7 of us children and most of the time my mom flew solo except for winter months when road work was impossible then my Step Dad would be out of town from like april through October.. about 7 months... out of the year! Did not hurt my feelings as he was a nasty man and hurt me and my sisters..and last living Brother!
This being something my Grandma helped put a stop to, as she had been there herself with her ex husband one of seven husbands.. My Grandma liked love.... But the guys seemed to not like her having children or liked the children too much and she would get a divorce.. There were only two girls born to her! She was an amazing women as was my mom!!
Its odd I have two Siblings that have died,one boy one girl, and 1 oldest sister has two children and 1 Step Daughter. My other sister has Two children and 1 Step Daughter also. My brother had two Daughters one is deceist! My youngest half Sister has no children of her own and no sign of any as she is a lesbian.. she could adopt but she is so messed up from drugs that she will never be able to be an adaquet good parent.. can't take care of herself let alone someone else!
I have three of my own children and am wishing for grandbabies of multiple sex and twins and triplets will be welcomed HEE HEE HEE HEE! Maybe not by my kids but by me!!!LOL Someday!

My biological mother gave me to my father at 3 days old...I only knew her from a distance....what was odd I did not feel a connection to her while growing up and when I was on my own and tried to have a mother/daughter relationship to her...that didn't work, so I attempted a friendship with her, but she couldn't handle it as I reminded her too much of my father...so I had to keep away from her as her behaviour was a bit odd and intolerable of her treatment towards others...I couldn't stand it! I also, was the one elected to do her Eulogy 3 years ago in October when she died from breast cancer. My sister told her I was on my way out of town to be there at the hospital with them and said she died quickly right after she told her that...(I swear she did it intentionally to keep from having any sort of connection with me??)My stepmom is a sweetheart and I will always honour her for raising me! It was difficult as I thought on my own, spoke my mind(which always landed me in trouble with her as I stood for the principal of "things"), and she has lived with me for the past 3 years...I owe her for teaching me how to be a respectable young lady. I love her much!
Oh wow! I admire you wanting more children, but as for me I am so glad I have the 3 boys and wish to enjoy the rest of my life...I want to travel more now. I will be visiting you next year...must get pics of that beautiful bridge and also, going to Europe for a bit of travel next year...may make two trips there next year...we will see...

Wow Loretta, I could be fine with 30 little rug rats underfoot and I am everyday, They are so sweet!! Would love it so much!!!I am glad your step mom and you have such love It is not always an easy job for some people to give love to those that are noyt blood, I have never had a problem.. as I love people of every walk of life... always have.. Just the way it goes..

There is another one similar to that, but you can see my fillings.....why do they put in silvery fillings, give me ones that kinda match my teeth thank you very much......bah, dentists *rolling eyes*

You asked me if I want to spend time with you at the darecare...yes, daring me to do such a task would be priceless...yikes! Those Tykes...toddling around...uh, do you have a padded cell there i could borrow or enclosed glass so i can watch the specimens in action...hehe...just kidding. I think it would be fun to watch how you handle all of them...I can imagine myself as a Kindegarden Cop! [:o)]

I understand that the tooth coloured fillings are prone to fluoresce under UV light, and so will glow in the dark.
In any case, I believe they are not a long lasting.
Ofcourse, there is still the controversy about the mercury in the silver fillings, but then I wonder about all the other toxins that are likely to be in other fillings.

Karen, imagine the savings on the electric bill...just say cheese...and everyone can see now....i have a girlfriend who teases me with the candles in my house...She said, "You can put the electric company out of business with all of your candles..so if they go on strike I am coming over here."..lol

My fillings have lasted me for years already, I'm very impressed, although I'm sure there is a chunk of tooth missing, probably from all the toffee I eat....oh well [:)]

Boy, I love candles the really sweet scented ones.. They had a wedding scented candle I went back to buy as I liked the fragrance and they said sorry we don't carry them anymore!!
Well I am not a big toffee fan.. My Grandmother used to mmake candy all the time, I loved when we had a taffy pull! Thats what we called it. She would make it and we would stretch it and pull it and stretch it untill it was ready and cooled off.. It was fun!

I like the intamacy of the candles the softness from the harsh lights of the house.. so relaxing.. When it rains I like a nice big fire in the stove and all candlelight.. especially on a stormy rainy night when the wind is blowing and the rain is pounding, I like to have a nice quilt to cul up under and good music Ummmmmm so very nice and relaxing....

OMG! I have that candle...LOL I thought it was Gardenia when I smelled it...yes, I smell and don't look at the names of them first...LOL Taffy, Never made it...sounds like it is fun to make..

I meant I was coming over and sharing in that type of ambience...my style of living...I love rain...my co-workers hate it but I love it, so they call it Loretta's weather! I will go out in it...Saturday was a blast as it was pouring and they were grumbling so I went underneath the tarp outside and did a quick dance...they were laughing at me but I just wanted them to stop griping! It worked. LOL

It was a good day overall...one of my better ones for Friday. I didn't...SURPRISE! I went out to have a nice Italian meal with Robert...he won in his argument, I wanted Greek and he wanted Italian...I told him if I was his girlfriend he would have to give me my way...the smart aleck said, then be my girlfriend and we would have some Greek...LOL I replied in a somewhat sarcastic way(imagine that)if I was his girlfriend he would've had to have brought me some roses..(he knows me to well)his reply was he knew better than that as I don't like roses, I like lilies and orchids..hehe...I told him don't forget about my gardenias..he laughed. That is what I love about him...he doesn't just wimp out...hehe I did have a nice meal a little angel hair with some alfredo sauce, chicken and broccoli..nice..He had his usual linguine...hehe with his tomato sauce...while we had a nice conversation. Rico again was called into work...went to go and salsa and some young kid kept following me around and left after an hour...came home looked at info about the thread I posted on pain...
