Title: Will My Unchewed Chicken Be Digested ?

Dear Esophagus Entities,

This evening as I put a mouth full of food in my mouth I hiccuped....the result ?...a big piece of chicken swallowed without even enjoying molar-incisor-chewing joy !!!...It felt horrible and after panicking a bit and some water I recovered !!...which is nice !!

Unfortunately I did not use my calipers to measure the specs of the said piece of chicken before it went south but I somehow managed to swallow it all...but it was big because I'm greedy !!.

Will this piece of chicken get digested ?...or shall I expect Le Chicken Surprise in the little boys room on the morrow ?

i don't see why it wouldn't be digested. just may take longer than if you had chewed... maybe

Why thank ewe kadie....I am sure ewe are right !...sometimes though I think food starts it's way down the digestive tract and still makes it to the other end still in one piece !!...if ewe know what I mean !!

LOL !!...yes indeedy Mam...with all my choking and drinking of water...the hiccups went !!.....

Hey !!...maybe that's the cure for hiccups !!....but ewe have to choke on a chicken first !!..LOL !!.....hic !!....DOH !!!!

lol. my mom has a recipe that starts out "first you steal a chicken..." so may the cure for hiccups is "first you steal a chicken. cook the chicken. choke on it."

next time I have hiccups...all I have to do is pop down my local supermarket and stick a frozen chicken down my shorts !!...LOL...eeeeeeeeeeeeek !!!!

ha ha! she got the recipe (why i keep typing resume first is beyond me...) from a very old italian lady and the lady wrote it down for her. i was there when my mom read it for the first time... and laughed so hard she spit her tea across the room...

Chewing gum does this. If you swallow the gum, it comes out the other end in much the same shape. It is not broken down on the way, or so i read.

I have this trouble with corn I think I chew it but then when the time comes it seems to still be whole! I love corn maybe I eat it to fast as I love it and then It comes out whole kernels.. LOL LOL! At least a lot of it does!

Thats a funny fork! LOL  and some knarly teeth!! LOL

BTW I think your stomach will break it down fine, But just to be safe with that answer you should take a picture and make sure you do a full exam of the specimen upon deposit into the loo! LOL Does it Digest does it not! A rip off of David Letterman's "Does it float?" LOL
