Both Canada and Great Britain have picked their list of their nation's greatest hero. Canada's CBC (The Canadian version of the BBC, I suppose) picked Tommy Douglas, a Baptist minister who became a prominent Canadian socialist politician. He created their free healthcare. I talk to Canadians all the time and they talk about Douglas as if the man walked on water. This list of "Greatest Canadians" was a huge emotional thing in Canada.
In Great Britain they had a similar poll, and awarded the great honor of # 1 to Winston Churchill. King Henry II of England (5 March 1133 – 6 July 1189) was the 90th spot. He deserved better. He was the best Plantagenet, if such a poll was ever to take place.
