It would be a lie if said I knew the cause of all cancers, but this doesn't mean I can't shoot down guesses that are complete nonsense. I assure you, electrolytes from your food will not turn into radioactive rocks in your cell membranes (unless perhaps you ate a few hundred tonnes of bananas per day).
electrolytes are transported through cell bilayers by ion transport channels (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ion_channel ). I would not expect any significant concentration of ions to accumulate in the bilayer itself.I mentioned bananas because a small percentage of potassium atoms are radioactive, and there is a detectable amount of radiation from foods high in potassium (but only comically large portions could lead to any sort of adverse effect)
