what nicolaus copernicus theory not accepted today???

I think that copernicus said that the planets followed circular orbits, they actually follow slightly eliptical ones as Kepler worked out. So his general idea of his theory is accepted, but the details were wrong.

Copernicus demonstrated with rigorous computations that actually sun is at the center of the solar system, not earth.
