scientist is people who discovered scientific things.
science degree has nothing to do with been a scientist.
if you have 7 phds, but invented nothing, discovered nothing, you are just a phd, not scientist.

To obtain a PhD you have to produce a thesis, ( aka dissertation ). That involves research which expands-upon existing-knowledge, or refutes it, i.e. discovery of some type is required to obtain a PhD.

A degree in science is even more important than a high school diploma. In high school we learn advanced mathematics, we learn about world history, and just as important, we learn to compose proper sentences. Something you should look into jccc!

A scientist is a person who applies the scientific method: observe, hypothesise, test. Where observation is particularly important, the field is often populated by amateurs, i.e. people who don't make a living from doing science, and may not have any formal qualifications in the subject.
Discovery and invention are sometimes the result of science, but most scientists spend most of their time investigating failures or diagnosing problems and diseases. The best result of a scientific investigation is "textbook", because that means the engineers or doctors can get on and fix the problem immediately. The worst result is "new product" because that means fundraising, patents, secrecy, recruitment, new plant, more employees, publicity, management, accountancy....and then some other bugger invents a better one or discovers a fault in yours.

Well I have a Science degree, but I am not employed as a scientist, I do use science in my job everyday. I apply what I have been taught in my work as an Environmental Health Officer.
I enforce environmental laws, and law unlike science, is murky and unclear, making a case or deciding on the best resolution is challenging, but what underpins my decisions, my justifications and my strategies ultimately is what science has taught me.
I don't know if I am a scientist, probably not, but doesn't mean I don't try to think like one.

No. I don't agree and neither should anybody else because you don't know what a scientist is. By definition a scientist is

A scientist, in a broad sense, is one engaging in a systematic activity to acquire knowledge. In a more restricted sense, a scientist may refer to an individual who uses the scientific method. The person may be an expert in one or more areas of science.

Simply put; a scientist is a person who studies nature. It doesn't even mean that they're employed as a scientist nor does it mean that they have a degree in science.

Then for cripes sake, stop asking!! You have this erroneous belief that you demonstrate in nearly all of your posts that the purpose of physics, or any science for that matter, is to explain why things happen or are the way they are or to be able to prove the laws of nature are true. Such things are about the furthest thing from the truth that one can get. Science only has the ability to describe nature, not explain it. With the laws and theories that we develop we have the ability to "explain" things in terms of those laws. But all that means is that we're explaining things in terms of things that are but mere descriptions so in the end all we really have are descriptions. I've told you several times to read the following document which explains all of this but you've always refused to read anything that anybody suggest. But screw it. That's your problem. I'm posting this for others who actually want to learn:

You're going to have to wait another 40 years if you keep refusing to read and learn physics. Nobody is going to spoon feed you like a little baby. We're too busy helping those who are willing to do the work to learn and that certainly isn't you.

I think jccc would have much better luck with his education if he would first learn to communicate properly. I'd recommend that he first learn to speak English before he takes on Physics.

study nature not books, book knowledge was invented/discovered by others. people make mistakes, nature don't.
in nature light is gravitational waves produced by exited atoms.
in books light is photon particles emitted by electrons change orbitals.
it takes a clear mind to see true face of the nature, not eyes only.
