Title: Does drying out soil samples alter its pH?

Pretty much what the topic title asks. Moisture is a huge factor in altering soil pH but once a sample is taken if it is then allowed to dry out (naturally over time) would its pH show any significantly change from when the sample was originally collected?

0 to 14... acid  water  base
moisture (H2O) dilutes PH,  concentration per volume measurement
Removing the dilute should logically increase concentration.
The significance is in the individual sample.
If it is acidic it stays acidic, if it were caustic it stays caustic.
