Title: What's for Supper ?
Post by: neilep on 20/07/2009 16:52:37
After eating too much pizza last night I'm just gonna have some mushrooms gently fried in olive oil with loads of garlic and some black pepper !

A nice thing to do is to make a sandwich with them also, but I have to cut back on my bread intake !...to the sarnie ewe can add slices of bacon...or sausages...or both...

We are having sausage curry! Yes I know it sounds bizarre but the kids love it! I chuck onions, peppers, mushrooms in  and anything else I have leftover in the fridge.
Thats served with basmati rice and I think there is a packet of tortillas left in the cupboard  [;D]

Can I be first to say 'lamb'?

Only joking. I would not eat a sheep as I am a vegetarian.

Indeed but it was delicious! And met with everyones approval, unusual in this house!!it goes quite thick as the sausage absorbs the curry sauce...yum!

As a fiscally challenged person I have 'invented' lots of recipes that use up whatever is in my fridge, sausage curry is one of those inventions!

I'm sorry sheepy but I did eat lamb chops tonight. I had them with roast courgette (zucchini) and tomato. I also had some crusty bread left over from the weekend.
