Title: Why do we get Headaches?

Personally I don't get headaches that often... Actually I hardly get them, but when I do.. Boy they are painful..
It's like the head is being crushed sideways!

Why is this?  [???]

wow.. this is a very broad question

there are different types and intensities of headache, broadly primary and secondary.

Primary headaches are not associated with any underlying problem (illness, trauma, infection etc) and can be caused by too much blood flow

Migraines are usually caused by reduced blood flow to the cerebral cortex.
Tension headaches are caused by muscular strain in the neck, head or back.. or by emotional stress
there's also cluster headaches which may occur over a period of weeks.. can be caused by changes in blood flow..

It certainly is, and 'hangovers' are a typical example:
alchohol inhibits vasopressin, kidneys do not readsorb
water and salt and a bulk of fluids is...lost.

Yup yup.. But I don't dehydrate that easily.. [:D] Ohh maybe that's why I don't get frequent headaches

What about bangs on the head as a possible cause for headaches??

Colds can cause them because the sinuses get "squeezed" that is
what I have experienced.
