Hello,
I have been seeing a lot of spams on this site for the past few days and I know it's hard removing such posts instantly since moderators are not always on... And I believe there aren't many. For that reason I want to apply for moderator while promising that I will not make any bad use of such power and Am just doing this to remove spam.
I wont mind a negative response since I understand it's hard to trust a 'someone on the net' easily. I hope my request/application would be as little as considered.

I'm sorry but that I Am afraid would not be something I'd prefer due to some... Unusual reasons I have. Is it something mandatory? Otherwise we could communicate by Email or, on this.
Just to be explicit... Since moderator would be a broad term for the power I'm really asking. I just want to be able to delete any and every spam post I can detect and if possible also ban users who make such posts. But for your assurance, just the ones who have less than 15 posts.

You might be a little suspicious as to why would I want to be a moderator. Well, my answer to that would be: I actually Am a website developer and there's this part of me which always wants some kind of prestige on every website I visit. On here, being able to delete spam would be kind of prestigious to me. Weird, eh? Well, prestige is just another word for ego and I do not lack at that. So yeah, that's an indirect answer to the question you never asked.

...Unless of course, actual humans post that Korean... Or Japanese spam everyday. Which would be quite unfortunate and in that case I would like to again request the power I stated above.

If you want to be a moderator, the last thing you want to do is suggest it. Even discussing the subject should rule you out. (And that's me ruled out too now, though I've never been mainstream enough to qualify anyway.)

That said, due to the amount of spam that we've been seeing lately I'd be more than happy to be a moderator with the only duty of deleting spam and bring the user to the admins attention. If you'd like I can send you my telephone number so you can talk to me about it.

Apparently the moderators here are only interested in enforcing the rules and bad science is allowed if it is confined to lighter side of the forum.
Problem is when they are busy they can take a while to remove troublesome posts, like the guy posting all the pictures, irritating but not the end of the world. No point tackling his misunderstandings, he will never believe you, to him you are bad science [;)]
By the way, welcome to the forum.
