NASA's lost toolbag filmed from Earth
By Austin Modine
24th November 2008 21:38 GMT

The tool bag lost by NASA astronaut Heide Stefanyshyn-Piper during an ISS space walk has been filmed sailing over Earth by a veteran satellite observer over the weekend.

SpaceWeather.com has a video recording of the backpack-sized bag's extended lesson in basic Newtonian physics made by Kevin Fetter from his backyard observatory in Brockville, Ontario.

Paper aeroplane to be dropped 240 miles from International Space Station to Earth

For most people, it's enough to see their paper plane fly for a few feet.
The Japanese, however, want to send one 240 miles ... through space.
They have revealed plans to launch a heat-resistant version from the international space station and track its descent at up to 15,200mph.

And if someone finds the [paper] dart before them, the engineers at Tokyo University have written a message in several languages saying: "This plane flew from the International Space Station. Please return the plane to Japan Origami Plane Association."

I can imagine someone reading this message, sarcastically saying "sure",
then crumpling the paper plane into a ball and throwing it in a bin.

I put my money in the origami bank but it folded!!!

I own a TEP aeroplane launcher. It launches planes at 80mph. I can understand the fixation as children love the launching machine so launching from the space centre!
