So... nearby my house is a 3 min walk road. When it was really windy and rainy, i took my umbrella - yeh i know... i use one... anyway.. lol
I made my way down to the shops... the wind was very bad, but it seems as though many where out doing their christmas shopping. Struggling against the violent winds i made it back to the 3 min road, and was about to turn onto the street which takes me home; but instead the wind took me.
With one great gust of air it captured my umbrella, and sent me flying onto my back with around three people causually walking by.. I went red with embarrasment but couldn't stop laughing. Still incapacitated with laughter (lying on the wet ground) i turn my head and all i could see was this big blue umbrella wacking a few people as it inexorably made it's way and even beyond the visible horizon of the street.
I eventually got up, still giggling kind of - when i realized - not one damn person even stopped to see if i was alright... lol

What is sad my friend, is that people are so disinterested in their fellowman that they refuse to acknowledge anothers distress. Nevertheless, the story was quite laughable. Hopefully, you sustained no injuries.............................Ethos

That is too funny.. but I agree with Ethos and am glad you are alright! That had to have been one hearty gust of wind to take you aback off from your feet! Crazy! LOL.. and the ..lol the umbrella wacking people lol... You need to draw up a cartoon depicting the wind and you and then the Big blue umbrella wacking people... LOL.... Thats just crazy.. funny... but also a bit hair raising...LOL..LOL..

I'm 6.6ft with a good body-weight and with a bit of muscle and it still knocked me on my backside lol

Me and you both! At my age It really hurts to fall down like that on your own without a big push from the wind pickickin you up and throwing you back lie that!

did any of you get into fights at school? you have the same effect, a kid wants to beat you up, and all of a sudden there a ring of kids watching you surrounded by the blood thirsty buggers does any one lift a finger.. nop
i got into a little altercation with a little ****head on the metro, loads of adults, big buggers as well, watching me get my head kicked in by 5 angry dwarfs (well they were 18 perhap and short).
so battered and bruised i get up dust myself of and a man comes up to me and sais... "someone should do something about them". i said "yes, why not you?"

Yes I was in the same situation two years ago almost now with a nutcase on the street attacking me. also in front of a store whilst the owners did nothing but stay inside behind their big window and let it continue without intervention.. I was scared to death.. and really angry as dozens of cars parked at a stop light just looked on and did nothing either... I was furious..
Never got into fights at school my best friend and I slapped each other one time then we both cried and felt terrible because we loved each other...Never again and I was in the 7th grade at that point!

I was too wrapped up lol - though, i am pretty surprised i never sustained any injuries :)

I was bullied more in primary school than perhaps what i was in the Grammer School. I was a nutjob - a total hypercase at school, which differentiated me well when i was younger - and hence the related behavoioural problems to a type of condition which is related to the autistic spectrum.
But no... I had quite a reasonably happy experience at school. I don't think most of them found me pleasurable though :)
