Have I got your attention? OK I lied, you can't turn fat into muscle literally, what I mean is how to strip that fat and replace it with toned muscle.

There is an ultra secret formula which will literally strip fat from your body and alow you to put on lean muscle send me £1000 and I'll tell you what it is.

What no money? OK I'll tell you for free :(

PROTEIN is your biggest weapon in the fight against the fat. Muscle is metabolic, this means that by increasing muscle mass you burn fat more effectively! Also, your body burns muscle more easily than fat so you need to protect and repair your muscles.

I have now achieved as much as I can by diet alone and I have started a regular excercise routine and taken some nutritional advice (which I got for free so I'm sharing it with you all.)

Think of your body as a car, do you drive 100 miles before you fill up? Or do you fill up first? Too many people try to excercise with no fuel in their body and all they do is burn away muscle.

Eat a small (high protien low carb) meal about half an hour before you excercise and then have a protein shake/bar immediately after (within 5 minutes if possible and definitely within half an hour.)

When I was looking for an excercise it had to be something I enjoy which took running straight out of the picture (besides I have bad knees and back so can't run anyway!) I like cycling but I want to work my upper body as well.

My favourite excercise is swimming but this works out expensive and the local pool is digsuting.

So I bought a rowing machine from the classified ads for £10 (had to pick it up but it was only a five minute drive)

I now row for 45 minutes 3 times a week and I plan to swap one of the rowing sessions with a swim or cycle some weeks to help stop boredom.

I have read some complete and utter crap about the fruit and veg I am eating but I am going to ignore it. Some websites are trying to claim that fruit and veg is fattening but my argument is it has to be healthier than the shite I was eating 2 months ago!!!

Another half inch gone from my waist already and today I had to go and buy some new clothes as even the jeans I was wearing last week are now too big.

Good job Kevin!  I too have lost a few inches in a very short time.  I've lost 3 inches from my waist and 2 from my hips.  I've been eating LOTS of fruits and vegetables, and drinking about 10 - 12 bottles of water daily.  I've also been walking a good bit.  I walk every morning, and I try to walk in the afternoons at least 3 times a week.  I haven't been eating before the morning walk because I'm always so rushed I can't find the time.  Maybe I'll try a hard boiled egg while dashing out the door (yuck, but at least it's easy to take on the run).  Is that enough protein?

The scales aren't moving fast enough to suit me, but I'll try not to complain as long as I keep losing inches.

Whoa !..That's phenomenal Carolyn ..Well done for doing such amazing work.

What about some 'power' fruit like a banana to eat before the morning walk ?...would that work Kevin ? ....and well done to you to....it's good to see you again.

I dont know whether bananas would be any more or less effective as I'm not a nutritionist but it's got to be better than a chocolate bar and it can't do any harm right?

The research I have read suggests high protein i.e. 2.5g per kilo of bodyweight which is why I am trying a supplement alongside my food.

I don't care what the scales say as muscle is more dense than fat anyway I just want a 32" waist and smaller tits than my mum.

Had to buy yet another pair or jeans as I have lost another inch in the last two weeks. I am so please with my acheivements I'm thinking of writing a web page.

Oh and if anyone's wondering why I haven't been active on the forum for a while, get a copy of Superman Returns DVD or Video, watch the end credits. The first person to post the name of Security Guard number 1 (about 6 credits from the end of the cast list) wins a gold star!
