Title: which university is the best for graduation in physics ?

which university (either in UK or USA) is the best for graduation in physics ?   [:D].
I am studying Degree 2nd degree B.sci Math,Physics,Computer Science..and I am Under graduate.. [::)]

It very much depends which branch of physics you want to study - string theory, particle physics, low-temperature physics, etc. - and whether you want to adopt a model-building approach or not. You will have to look at the curriculum and list of tutors for each university before deciding.

Of the American universities, Princeton & Harvard rate very high; but the University of California, University of Texas, UMIST and CalTech are also extremely good.

As for British universities, Imperial College, London is great for high-energy physics. If your interest is low-temperature physics then I would recommend Lancaster. For string theory, probably Cambridge.

 well I love all fields in physics .. I am in dilemma .. so, I am thinking to take theoretical physics...? Like Isaac Newton and A.Einstein ...
and How much I need to score in under graduate to do graduation in Physics M.Sci ?   I mean what is qualification for this ? [???]  [;D]

If you want to do theoretical physics are you at least as good at maths as physics and really enjoy your current maths exams and find them quite easy.  If not, theoretical physics my not be for you.

Yeah , I do enjoy now especially  Math more than physics ...

But both r awesome to study Nature and god !!

Every country has it's own definitions for what you need to know to get into their 'courses'.
Choose a good one in India, and then when you're finished you can research on a grant in another university for example.

If you have a original idea about our universe there will always be possibilities.
Einstein developed his ideas working at the patent office.
Newton did it at home as I've understood it.

Mathematics is universal :)

But if you're seeing it as a way to a good career, with some nice dough, then I would guess an European or American.
As that's where the best 'money and prestige' might be.

Those are probably the best. Then there's Cornell and Tufts too.

The great thing about MIT is that you're final GRA is based only on your last three years. They only go by a pass/fail basis for freshman year. The GPA is then calculated on the grades you get for Sophmore, Junior and Senior years. Which is a bit unfair if you're being compared to others whose GPA is based on Freshman grades too. In this sense MIT GPAs are artificially inflated compared to the rest of the universities.
