Dearest Roof-Snowologists,
Roofs are great aren't they ? I luff them, especially the way they cover your head in a house and other buildings. For thousands of years people woke up with snow on their heads until some bright spark invented roofs circa 1923.
Please to be perusing this photo I took earlier today:

A Picture I took Earlier Today
Notice how void of snow the roof on the left is ?
why's that then ?...Is this a matter of insulation ? What's it all about ?
whajafink ?
Hugs et les shmisheys
mwah mwah !!

My guess is loft insulation - the one with snow has better insulation than the one without, which is losing heat through the roof.
It's a good way to see who's got the best insulated house in your street!
-
Gosh !!..a new hobby for me....
-
I agree or even maybe the type of heat.. wood, or gas, etc...
Nice picture!
OH THE SNOW LOOKS SO COLD AND PRETTY!

Assuming the houses are equally heated.
-
Very true
-
Ok..as a firm believer in empirical study I will go up and down my street and knock on their doors (i'll do my neighbours at 3am) and conduct a survey....I'll bring my
brats kids, they can sing Jingle Bells and so we can earn while we learn !!....kwality !!

Watson, you will observe that the semi on the right been visited by the double glazing fairy, whereas it appears the semi on the left still has the original windows. Therefore Watson, I conclude that owner of the semi on the right has also invested in attic insulation.
Elementary!

Watson, do ewe also think that ' white van man' parked outside the house on the left has anything to do with it ?

Very good Watson. Obviously it's a butcher's van which indicates that the left semi is actually being used as an illegal haggis factory.

OOps !!....ewe're right Watson Holmes !!...as a firm believer in obtaining viable evidence I will staple my neighbour to the roof at 3am tomorrow morning and force him to covertly obtain the proof. I will then pass on his sheep stomach orientated evidence to the Haggis police !!......................Honestly....as a sheepy...it makes me sick to my stomach !!
-
Hey everyone - I bet Neil lives in the sheep shed on the left and is envious of the double glazing but just doesn't want to fess up.
The butcher's van is there as it is now the right time to hang pork.
-
Watson, what's that square white thingy to the right of the Jagular automobile (or is it a Ford)? Looks like a door of some sort. Far too small to be a garage of course. Is it for a lawntractionmobile?

Actually I live in a palace !

Holmes, I believe you're senses are acclimatised to that where they now reside....
If ewe recall back in the good old days....ewe will recollect that that is indeed a garage door for a carmobile !...whereas, I am sure, in the good old US of A..it's probably a tight squeeze for as ewe say...a lawntractionmobile.
it's a jag !

Yeh, right - sheepy wants us to suddenly think he has "class"

Yeh, right - sheepy wants us to suddenly think he has "class"
when visiting fans in Holland I do have CLog up my Ass...now that's class !! [:D]
-
Can't your vet give you something for a clogged up ass?
-
Possibly the residents of the place with snow on the roof have gone away on holiday so don't have their heating on at all
-

(Warning: OLD JOKE OLD JOKE OLD JOKE ) I'll go and ask my brother what do about my clogged up arse....he's a mathematician and will work it out with a ruler !!...*le groan*

Thanks Madidus Scientia Now THAT's an excellent answer too.. I bet they've gone away.
-
But wouldn't they put the Jugular carmobile in the carmobile house first.
BTW, would not mathematician brother work it out in logs?
-

They have another carmobile in there !..I think...else..like mine it's filled with household goodies !!
BTW, would not mathematician brother work it out in logs?
He's a fan of jazz so I suppose he'll just use his loga-rhythm to work it out !

Neilep, it is due to the reindeer's.
As you know reindeer's are impatient creatures, they just cant stand still. And if you just could magnify the photo I'm sure we would see some 'spilling's' too.
And this proposal is made by a reindeer scientist. I've actually seen them, alive...
----
Ah, not the spilling though.
Alive, I mean.
And thats why the other part of the roof looks so dark. I could bet you that it was much much lighter before Xmaz
-
Is he saying they were whizzing on the roof?
-
Do the remains of the roof snow move or drift to the end properties with the aid of whether temperature conditions.
thanks folks

My word !..I think your on (yor on ) to something there. !!..yes..yes...ewe are right !!..I meticulously inspected the roof and found it to be covered in a layer of reindeer poo poo and wee !!....Do reindeer's do it bat style ?..cos it smelled like guano !
Thanks Yor On !!..YAYYYY !! [;D]
-
Yep Neilep, all my studies have come to the same conclusion. It's their way of marking their territory. Be glad they only, ah, spilled?
Otherwise the roofs would have been yellow.
-
Reading you again... Wee?
Then it must have been a new strain.
Perhaps they've mutated?
-
Could be blown snow, of the insulation in one roof versus the other or could just be where the snow fell.
