Title: Why is my right ear breathing??
Post by: Simulated on 10/08/2007 14:43:32
At soccer we got finished running 1.8 miles and I take a drink and sit there and my ear sounds like it is breathing. Why is that?

Thanks! Sim!

Is it pulsating or do you hear air passing like leaky air.. You might have a ear infection or burst eardrum you have been puking the last few days, perhaps you were actually sick.. and got a bit of infection and perhaps it was not over doing it at soccer practice!

this was mentioned on the pod cast a couple of weeks ago.  Before you start to lecture me, I know I shouldn't stick things in my ears, but when I stick a cotton bud in my ear it makes me cough.  In fact both ears have the same effect.  Its really odd.

is there anything else odd that ears are connected to?

How is your ear now ?

I think ' pressure ' may be an underlying cause hEAR !

I'm going to be all clever and guess that it doesn't do it now eh ?...only when ewe have exerted yourself ?..

main thing...do NOT worry !!

Your sinus may be blocked causing crap to enter the tube that connects to your inner ears which allows them to equalize with the outside air pressure ,  if this is the case take a decongestant.

I haven't done nothing the last 2 days. So I'm not sure. LoL.  Yeah Only when I have exerted myself. Ok I won't worry as much. I'm to busy worry about lots of stuff right now anyways.

So Singular? I have some. And I've been taking it. It ain't working thatwell.

Hi Pete

this makes you quite rare - in the studies I cited in the podcast, only abou 0.9% of subjects had bilateral ear-cough reflexes.
