Title: could Quantum Physics explain..

I was wondering why the sunlight is called the electromagnetic radiation.
Is it because the.. i don't know.. aka somekind of the property of both magnetic and the electrical effects if not what may be the reasons...

Can quantum mechanic explain this or can the simple laws of electromagnetism explain it..i did not fine anyclue on this site

Didn't you ask the same question here (http://www.thenakedscientists.com/forum/index.php?topic=11596.msg141031#msg141031)?  If so, please could you continue the conversation there rather than as a new thread?  It makes it easier to navigate the forum and for everyone to get the answers they're looking for.
