look your in a pub a busy one
do you
a. find a table and wait to be served
b. strut up to the bar and demand to be served at the table
or
c. sit at a table and wistle for the the server to come over
and then (this ahs happened) 47 seconds after the order has been placed. say the service is too slow demand to see the manager (me) and say that they ordered the drinks 10 minits ago it beggers belife. i know the timing of that order i took it myself
grrrrrrrrr
ok i feel better now just needed to get stuff of my chest

Some people are in such an all fired hurry, they are in danger of disappearing up their own tush. Sometimes that wouldn't be such a bad idea.

so right
the amount of times i get "could i eat quickly please im going to the cinama in half an hour"
of corse i say yes because we can crack food out quickly
and then they order starter, main, and dissert. so much food infact that you could not possibly eat it all in 30 mins let alone cook present and take it to the table

People have the wrong attitude to food anyway. They eat to live, I prefer to live to eat!
I've always admired the Europeans for their treatment of meals, eat slowly, chew, taste and savour, that's how I eat. If they are going the way of us English, "shove it in ya gob an' swalla", they will be sorry.

it is funny to see how people eat.
the French (parisians) for example do take there time but they want it NOW at the click of there fingers with coffee on the terrace after and all and to hell with what everybody else wants.
times iv been called to a table (of 5 say) by 1 person that person is ready to order so he orders for him self then get surprised that, when i ask everybody else what they want, its found that only the bloke has chosen
the longest to spend eating i recon are the asians Japanese/Chinese i have seen them take hours over a small plate of nachos.
the loudest in the pub are the germans or americans. they seem to shout the order instead of speeking normaly, like i dont understand english.
the most unassuming the brits and the sweeds its rare that they cause me any hassle at all
the Italians and morracans use the most hand gestures magnificently big gesticulations.
Canadians spend most of the time saying that there not american

all this is just observation form the pub, and in no means portray any views of the author
but its so true, i could write a book on the behaviour of staff/clients from around the world
well i would but i think only i would find it funny

all to true i have had the displeasure of trying to train a russian waitress she was usless
My staff come from all over the place, Italians are great at the client contact which is very important but i become a problem if that is all hes doing and making all the other servers run around cleaning all the tables in his section ect.
the top banana prize goes to my austrian
works hard trys to speek to the clients (even though her french is terrible) and i cant say anything against her.
the french ones i have seem to make the the customers feel like poo. as if the server has better things to do then sever someone who is obviously a simpleton
but on the whole it the customers that get me down. and they do need to smarten up. in a dispute between staff and client i will always back my staff.
might give them a rollickin after though
